Join our Board of Directors

Niagara Regional Housing is looking for bright, motivated individuals to join our Board of Directors.

The NRH Board of Directors includes representation from Regional Council and the community. Interested applicants should be committed to assisting NRH to provide affordable, accessible and quality housing for all residents.

There are currently openings for four Community representatives on the NRH Board of Directors.

Funding Announcement - Social Housing Improvement Program

​NRH has received an allocation of approximately $6 million to complete renovations and retrofits of existing social housing. The funding was received as a result of a joint initiative between the provincial and federal governments. Under the SHIP program, local Housing Providers are encouraged to address water and energy conservation as well as improve and preserve the quality of social housing to ensure its long term physical sustainability.

Making a Difference in Affordable Housing Communities

The McLaughlin Street community in Welland has successful community programs provided by Faith Welland Church and funded by Niagara Prosperity Initiatives.

Betty Boyd and Faith Welland have become an important part of this community, as they offer a wide range of activities from the Community House.

Housing Provider Volunteer Board Member Applications Being Accepted

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to serve temporarily on housing provider Board of Directors.
