Enhanced TTY services: TextNet
Niagara Region has implemented TextNet as an improved method of TTY communication for the hearing impaired in Niagara. As a result, NRH now has the ability to forward calls internally to other TextNet users in the organization and to save TTY conversations for future reference and follow up. In partnership with the Canadian Hearing Society, this year-long pilot project is intended to improve the Region's current service to the hearing impaired community. There is no change for residents when calling NRH. The enhanced system may be accessed by calling the Niagara Region's existing TTY number at 905-984-3613.
